Football Season is finally here! And our oldest nephew, the one who named me Kiki, is the starting quarterback. Naturally, I had to bring my largest (600mm) lens to capture some of the thrill of the game. If you follow us on Facebook (KikisCornerPhotography), you have already seen them. But, I thought I would post a few here too.

He is also a Class of 2018 Senior....how did that happen so quickly?
Every year our little town hosts an Old Settler's Weekend. It's a fun weekend filled with class reunions, a hometown parade, a hamburger lunch, BBQ dinner and dance. This year Old Soreheads and Old Settlers were able to tour the Convent and the Connell House. We were blessed to tour both and are just in awe of all of the work that has taken place. I plan to post images from both tours soon.
There is always lots of joy and laughter during Old Settlers Weekend. Think Norman Rockwell meets Gilmore girls and you have it. Many Old Settlers travel from quite a distance to attend. And every year, the date is carefully marked on the calendar.
I didn't grow up here but my husband did and our girls did too. It's always a fun weekend but the parade is always my favorite. I tried to capture every entry in this year's parade. Summer is the PERFECT time for your Senior VIP Sessions. You have a nice bit of color going on, those natural highlights from the sun, you are well rested, and your schedule isn't so crazy. Right?! Your mom may cry a few tears when she sees your awesome images, because the reality will hit that this is your senior year...but it's better then having your mom cry in late April because she can't possibly fit one more thing in her schedule before your graduation and she still has to find a way to get your senior session scheduled.
Trust me, it happens every year. And we are happy to try to accommodate...but you will enjoy your summer sessions so much more. And P.S., we only have 9 dates available this summer. Your friends already scheduled their VIP Session with us. Please, don't wait!

I cannot believe this little cutie is turning three! I had so much fun spending time with Mr. W and his mommy. Happy birthday Mr. W. It's so fun watching you grow!
I was blessed to photograph Adrienne's Sweet Sixteen session and now her Senior VIP Session. Wow! The years fly by so quickly! It may have been February, but the temperatures were perfect and the light was incredible. I loved spending time with Adrienne and her mom. While the majority of my seniors bring four to five outfits, Adrienne wanted to keep things simple. I love how many looks we can get just using different locations and poses. Isn't she gorgeous!! She will play soccer for LCU in the fall...and they are so blessed to have her!
What a beautiful session! Gorgeous children, beautiful barn, incredible golden light, sweet neighbors....delight! I absolutely love this one and can easily see it as a large canvas on a focal wall, can't you?
And oh my goodness this horse! It's the tallest horse I've ever seen with a tail anyone would envy. Love, love, love this image!

Our Frozen Inspired Mini Sessions completely sold out and were such a blast! We had the most adorable Princes and Princesses arrive dressed to the nines in their fabulous outfits. The set was so much fun to design and create. I was counting the days until the Mini Sessions! We even had snowballs and snow waiting for them. Seriously, I had the fake snow in my hair and all over my clothes by the time the mini sessions were over. And I barely had a voice after singing songs from the awesome movie for 2 hours at the top of my lungs. It was a complete blast and I am thrilled that so many came!
Part of the Kiki's Corner Photography experience involves designing custom albums for clients. Seriously, who has the time to scrapbook anymore? I use to scrapbook all of the time and I really enjoyed it. But, life seems to be flying by at record speed and as a mom, I simply don't have the time to devote to creating scrapbooks like I once enjoyed.
My clients are the same way. I thoroughly enjoy creating custom albums for my clients. These are albums that will hopefully be treasured for generations. I just completed a yummy newborn album for some very special clients. I cannot wait for the custom designed album to arrive. It is absolutely sugar and spice and everything nice and filled to overflowing with these beautiful girls!

What a sweet, sweet family! Their daddy is one of our new coaches in town and we are so glad to have all of them in our schools, community, and church. What a blessing to capture them and their love for each other!
Sweet P is a Big Sister! And what a wonderful big sister she is. These beauties are going to have the most wonderful time growing up together! What a blessing to get to capture these two. Loved these sessions!!!
Did you see the Blood Moon this month? I nearly had forgotten to look! Thankfully, I saw an early morning post on Facebook and quickly grabbed my camera and headed outside before it was too late....in my robe! It was a little cloudy with some wind. Imagine me trying to make sure my robe kept me covered, trying to steady my 20lb camera and lens, and hoping to capture the Blood Moon. I'm sure that I was quite a sight if any of my neighbors happen to catch a glimpse of me that morning. My hair was perfectly frizzed and standing on edge by the time I was finished. Thankfully, I had enough time to tame the mane before heading to school. I didn't capture as many images as I intended because I slept right through most of it. But, I'm thankful for the ones that I was able to capture. God is so awesome and absolutely so creative!
I was so excited when Sam's mom mentioned that her son loved airplanes and would very much like a Senior VIP Session at the CAF in Midland, Texas. Oh what an awesome location!!! The CAF was so gracious to allow us to take pictures while they were busy getting ready for the Air Show. Sam seemed right at home both at the CAF and in our favorite field. What a blessing to meet Sam and his mom. I am counting the days until they can see all of his images! There are so many to share!
Last week our baby girl and her fellow seniors along with the sophomore girls took on the Freshman and Junior girls at the annual Powder Puff game. The game itself brought back a flood of memories from childhood when Hannah played flag football with they boys. Back then, she was the only girl playing flag football and we were pretty proud of that fact.
See our little blondie? We may or may not have paid her by the flags that she captured....just saying. She was a good player and not intimidated in the least after a little incentive. Ha!
Ok, I'm back from a little walk down memory lane and back to the recent Powder Puff Game. The girls got together with the some of the Varsity Football boys as their coaches and practiced the entire week before the big game. Finally, it was game time! These Senior Girls have not lost a game that they played in throughout their high school career and they won last Thursday night too. Way to go Hannah and fellow senior girls!!!
Hannah had an awesome game. She got a fumble recovery and sacked the quarterback. She was stellar on defense....yes, I am totally biased.
The conversations we overheard on the sidelines from the coaches were hilarious! One of the boys kept hollering, "Can you at least try not to run like a girl? Please??"
Another one hollered, "What the heck are you doing? That is not what we practiced!!! And after they ran it in for a touch down he hollered, "Way to go!" Ha!
But one of my favorite memories was watching the girls, after they scored a touch down, stop and take a group selfie. I never see that on Friday Nights with the football boys, but I loved it. So much fun!
I absolutely loved meeting Landon and his mom. What a blessing to capture his senior pictures. He is as handsome on the inside as he is on the outside and I just know God has big plans for his life.
