Football Season is finally here! And our oldest nephew, the one who named me Kiki, is the starting quarterback. Naturally, I had to bring my largest (600mm) lens to capture some of the thrill of the game. If you follow us on Facebook (KikisCornerPhotography), you have already seen them. But, I thought I would post a few here too.

He is also a Class of 2018 Senior....how did that happen so quickly?
Like it or not, back to school is really here. Our summer flew by. Did yours? Many of you that follow our work know that we have a yellow bus, named Miss Daisy. And Miss Daisy is ready for your Back to School Mini Session.
Whether you are a senior and would love BFF mini session or a parent of a Kindergartner (sob! we totally understand), or any student for that matter, we would be honored to photograph your student/students! Because... we all have those white envelopes with the plastic window that still has our awkward back to school images we took at school buried somewhere in our drawers. Our images are a bit more personality driven and sure to be the ones you want displayed in your home.
We would love for you to join our super limited Back to School Mini Sessions. Yes, we can totally do them Super Hero style if you like (we are loving that super hero inspired back to school commercial).

What if we loved our neighbor as ourself, chose to put on love instead of hate, shared kindness instead of ill will, and cared more about the greater good than just selfishness and pride? Oh how we LOVE photographing our Seniors and our Mod Squad Model Team. Mod Squad '17 has had an epic year already. We still have a few sessions together left before they graduate....sob! But, we couldn't wait to share their images with them and a few other friends and family (about 70).
The Studio was happily packed with friends and family members who were anxious to see their images as well as invited Juniors who are hoping to be part of Mod Squad '18.
We had the studio set up with cookies, bottled water with our logo, a fun gift for each one, and magazines for our Models and the first 30 guests. We had a fun Selfie Station set up with our ring light too. I had so much fun! Here are a few behind the scenes images from my IPhone.

Hello 2017, I am so glad to see you! Was anyone else super excited to welcome a new year? A fresh start, clean slate, a calendar full of possibilities, dreams, goals, and plans. Oh how I love a new year!
Our Mod Squad '17 Model Team had a blast creating a special New Year's Eve themed session. The fabulous Hotel Settles was so gracious to host us for a few hours in their gorgeous hotel. Our theme was Gatsby inspired and the Hotel Settles could not have been more perfect! Delight!

What a tremendous honor and blessing! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I'm still shaking and in complete shock over the incredible news. Our little Studio was awarded one of the "Top 100 Senior Photographers Across the Globe awards!" I had to read the list twice when I saw my name. What a blessing!!! God is so good and I'm so thankful for this incredible photography adventure with Him and for the joy of getting to photograph you!
We have a few more weeks until we find out exactly which one of our images was the winning image. If you know me well, you know that I call being patient the "p" word. Ha! We will post our image here as soon as we know.
We know there are many photographers to choose from and we are always so blessed when you choose us! It's our joy to capture YOUR memories to treasure!
Summer is the PERFECT time for your Senior VIP Sessions. You have a nice bit of color going on, those natural highlights from the sun, you are well rested, and your schedule isn't so crazy. Right?! Your mom may cry a few tears when she sees your awesome images, because the reality will hit that this is your senior year...but it's better then having your mom cry in late April because she can't possibly fit one more thing in her schedule before your graduation and she still has to find a way to get your senior session scheduled.
Trust me, it happens every year. And we are happy to try to accommodate...but you will enjoy your summer sessions so much more. And P.S., we only have 9 dates available this summer. Your friends already scheduled their VIP Session with us. Please, don't wait!

While we were in California for marketing and Model Sessions with the fabulous Teri Fode and nine other incredible photographers from all over the U.S.A., I received an email from Sydney's mom asking if we could find time to photograph her daughter.
Thankfully, we found the perfect date, just in time, for Sydney's Senior VIP Session. Sydney is the Captain of the Varsity Cheerleaders, she was the Catoico Queen, (we were blessed to photograph many of the gorgeous girls in court this year too. Delight!) and has participated in dance since she was in kindergarten. With so many accomplishments we had a difficult time narrowing down outfit choices. But, I love the outcome:
We LOVE our seniors and their parents. It really is a joy getting to know them before their Senior VIP Session, after, and keeping in touch throughout their senior year. We are seriously blessed with the most incredible clients who often become friends. I love that!
Last week as many moms and seniors picked up their custom Graduation Announcements from the Studio, so many mentioned they had no idea what they would be wearing to Graduation. I remember that same exact feeling last year. Whether your school has strict guidelines, our local high school certainly does, or not, here are some looks we had fun putting together.

Denim is everywhere and we are LOVING this trend. Are you? Denim is so easy and fun to style. Add a string of pearls for a classic look, a patterned skirt for a little drama, a pop of color with shorts and espadrilles or maybe heals if you prefer....the possibilities are endless. Adding style to your sessions is something we love to do and we are always happy to help.
It's almost here, the moment you have been dreaming about since the first day you stepped foot in high school, or perhaps Kindergarten. You have anticipated, and maybe even dreaded a bit...your Graduation Day. Embrace every second, treasure every memory, embrace your life long friendships, and enjoy these last few weeks. Regan was such a joy to photograph. I know her future is as bright as she is and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.
I was blessed to photograph Adrienne's Sweet Sixteen session and now her Senior VIP Session. Wow! The years fly by so quickly! It may have been February, but the temperatures were perfect and the light was incredible. I loved spending time with Adrienne and her mom. While the majority of my seniors bring four to five outfits, Adrienne wanted to keep things simple. I love how many looks we can get just using different locations and poses. Isn't she gorgeous!! She will play soccer for LCU in the fall...and they are so blessed to have her!
Our Graffiti Glam Model Session was outrageously fun!!! There is something so incredibly awesome about pushing your creative comfort zone and chasing that session you've been thinking about for a while. The girls were gorgeous and game for anything!!! Makeup by the fabulous @mandydoesmakeup32. Thank you to my sweetheart for being my number one fan and for his help during this session. Many more images to share but I couldn't wait any longer!

I was so excited when Sam's mom mentioned that her son loved airplanes and would very much like a Senior VIP Session at the CAF in Midland, Texas. Oh what an awesome location!!! The CAF was so gracious to allow us to take pictures while they were busy getting ready for the Air Show. Sam seemed right at home both at the CAF and in our favorite field. What a blessing to meet Sam and his mom. I am counting the days until they can see all of his images! There are so many to share!
