Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights

My oldest nephew, the one who named me Kiki, is a senior this year. He’s the starting quarterback so my mind began planning unique out of the box shoots this summer. Last night we had only 15 minutes but had a blast! Water and smoke grenades make for an epic session. One of his buddies said these images were “sick!”  That’s high praise.

my husband built the waterfall for me. It worked like a champ.

He’s a red head, so we had to do red smoke grenades.  Class of 2018, fall is sold out but we do have a few available dates this spring. Don’t wait to book!

Ah, I can hardly wait for their gorgeous Proof Book to arrive!!! But, while we wait, I wanted to share this image. They are all so beautiful/handsome....but Little Bit on the right makes me giggle with joy every time I see this image. She makes you want to giggle too, doesn't she? I wonder what she was thinking about.

What a beautiful session!  Gorgeous children, beautiful barn, incredible golden light, sweet neighbors....delight!  I absolutely love this one and can easily see it as a large canvas on a focal wall, can't you?

And oh my goodness this horse!  It's the tallest horse I've ever seen with a tail anyone would envy.  Love, love, love this image!

Austin~Stanton High School, Class of 2014 {A Sneak Peek}

What fun to photograph this very active and athletic Stanton High School Senior!  His facebook tags have been quite the hit!  One mom even commented that her daughter was interested in his curly hair and baby blues.  Even though he may never admit it, I think he has rather enjoyed the attention.  Regardless, I enjoyed this session and the fun in capturing his personality.  Despite crazy winds and pending storms, we managed to capture these and 25 others in his gallery.

Senior Guys are so fun to photograph! Really, they are. No, they don't come with trunks full of clothes and accessories so that we can play dress up, but they are still fun! Inevitably, they are less than thrilled but still very polite, when the session begins. By the time we are well in to the session, they have forgotten about being nervous and act like the are having fun. If they aren't having fun, please don't tell me. Ha!  I'm having a blast! It was a pleasure to meet this handsome senior and his beautiful mom and I count it a privilege to have captured his senior images.  Here are just a few.  I'm saving the others for his Session Premiere.

This was such a cool session! It was my first request for welding pictures and I must say, it was incredible! I love new challenges. Seeing this senior's face light up when he fired up his welding torch? Priceless! How special to discover that his grandpa was a master welder. I just know God has amazing things in store for this fine Senior! www.thealbumcafe.comwww.thealbumcafe.com

Danielle~Stanton High School Class of 2014 {A Sneak Peek}

I've known this senior for the past 4 years. She has persevered through major health issues including heart surgery and still managed to keep smiling. I am going to miss her so much in Yearbook class next year but I am so excited to see the path that she chooses and to watch her thrive. Her brother just recently returned from his 5th tour. Naturally, it was a given that we take some pictures with Old Glory on the day she was going to see him as he arrived in the States. 001002025

Bayli~ Stanton High School Class of 2014 {A Sneak Peek}

What a joy to photograph this beautiful Stanton High School Senior! I am so thankful we were able to find the date. In spite of grueling west Texas winds, God was so good to help me find locations that gave us respite from the fierce, hair-standing-straight-up, winds. She and her mom were game for absolutely anything and I loved that! I am so excited to show them all of her images this evening!  Delight!

She arrived with confetti, a beautiful frame, a car full of outfits and accessories to choose from, and even balloons. What fun!

Wowza! This Midland Christian Senior is gorgeous inside and out! One of the comments on facebook said she looked like Pocahontas. Love that. Oh what fun we had taking her senior pictures! I am hoping to get to watch her play ball sometime this spring. Until then, I cannot wait to show her all of her images!!! 001013027019035

Easter Sessions {A Sneak Peek}

We are doing something we have never done before. Three Exclusive Mini Sessions in three months! Each theme has limited availability and if the first theme is any indicator, I cannot wait for the other two. The 2nd Mini Session signup is coming soon. It's a Superhero theme. So fun!!! These adorable children came dressed in their Easter finest and Bubbles (some called him Ke$ha) the bunny was super excited they were there.

Mr. Casen came ready to party.  His outfit was adorable and his reaction the the bunny was priceless!

Mr Smiley, aka Wyatt, was all smiles and snickers.  I love his new expression!  He wrinkles his tiny nose. So cute!

The gorgeous Miss Olivia and her handsome brother thrilled me by bringing their Nonna and Aunt Julie.  I always look forward to story time with Olivia.  She tells the best stories and when she decides to flash her smile, it thrills my heart and lights up the entire room.  Her baby brother, who has grown so much since his newborn session, had shots the day before and wasn't feeling quite himself.  But from this adorable gummer smile, complete with shiny bottom teeth, you couldn't tell.  Precious doesn't even begin to describe these two!

The was my first time to photograph these beautiful sisters.  All three are beautiful, just like their mom.  Oh, those eyes!!!

And the bunny family!  They were so generous to keep their show bunnies for me for these sessions.  The bunny could not have been sweeter.  He sat in the basket and posed for every image.  My favorite part, besides getting to photograph these two with their bunny, was the costume they brought.  A unicorn!!!  Mr. Bubbles the bunny is really a boy.  Poor guy, we dressed him up with daisies and then the pink unicorn costume.  To say he just may have issues is an understatement.  Needless to say, he totally rocked it!  Ha!

Thank you sweet families for blessing us by coming to the Easter Sessions.  We loved having you!!!

Haley {Seymour High School Texas-Class of 2014 Sneak Peek}

I loved meeting this beautiful senior and her family! Oh, what fun we had putting outfits together! I think we visited and giggled the entire session. What a blessing to meet them and to photograph their baby girl. This family traveled over 4 hours to get to their session! Seriously, I am blessed with the most incredible clients!

She brought this dress and I added my hat.  Hearing that she loved pearls, this seemed like the perfect accessory!

She borrowed her boyfriend's jersey.  He surprised her with these shorts. So cute!

Love the colors of this image:

And this one too!

I am waiting on one more item and then I will be happily packaging all of her senior items into one happy box.  I cannot wait for them to see all of her images.  Delight!!!

Photo of the Morning

Photo of the Morning: What a blessing to photograph this beautiful family as they celebrated their baby girl's 16th birthday this past weekend. Love, joy, and laughter are my favorite things to capture and this session encompassed all three. Delight! 016
